The Mishimoto racing thermostat, suitable for the Toyota MR2 ZZW30, is engineered to improve cooling performance for both standard and modified engines. By opening at a lower temperature compared to OEM thermostats, it enables earlier coolant circulation through the engine, thus keeping engine temperatures lower.
